The Core

When I first painted my Tree of Life, I thought of the leaves as the different chapters of my life with each one carrying its own color, its own memory, and its own story.

With this piece, I wanted to take that thought a little deeper. I painted the inside of the trunk in many different colors, as if the entire life of the tree lives within it. The colors travel through its veins and find their way into the leaves, making each leaf bright and different.

For me, that is how life feels too. What we see on the outside is shaped by everything we have experienced within us. The happy moments, the difficult ones, the people we have met, the lessons we have learned. All of them become part of who we are.
