Whispering Lake
Whispering lake in shades of green with twin boat sailing in between
When I first saw a lotus pond, I imagined rowing a boat right through it.
Watching the water ripple around the boat and seeing the lotus leaves and flowers gently move with the waves.
I wanted to capture that beautiful moment in this painting. The two boats became the centre of my composition, surrounded by the movement of water. With layers of deep and vibrant greens to create the pond, while the touches of pink and purple in the lotus flowers bring colour and life to the scene.
Through the textures, ripples and raised lotus details, I tried to recreate the feeling of being right there on the water, gently rowing through a beautiful lotus pond.
